WG3&4 Meeting in Bulgaria: working on joint projects and books

BigSkyEarth is organizing a Working Group meeting in Kamchia, Bulgaria, on October 12 & 13, 2017. The meeting’s main focus will be the work on joint projects and books and online repository. The meeting is hosted by the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the Bulgarian Academy of Science.

Apply to the BigSkyEarth Training School 2017: Visualization for large scale analytics

BigSkyEarth is organizing a Training School on “Visualization for large scale analytics” to be held at the University of Central Lancashire, UK, on April 3-8, 2017. A diverse set of key practitioners from the astronomy, the Earth observation and the computer science domains will be participating in the School, contributing the perspectives of both the academic and the industrial sector. Grants will be made available by the Action for a number of students.

BigSkyEarth Workshop in Sopron

BigSkyEarth COST Action organizes its second workshop, with the topic “Big Data processing and management concepts for new platforms“, in Sopron, Hungary, on February 23-24, 2017. The workshop participants will discuss the future of Big Data platforms in Earth Observations and astronomy, suggest how to expand their work into larger collaborations and seek potential research partners among the workshop participants (if you wonder, here is why your company should join BigSkyEarth)

The main topic of the BigSkyEarth meeting in Helsinki on 10-11 October, 2016, at the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute and co-organized by the University of Helsinki, Department of Physics,  was preparation of the ITN proposals and how to boost collaborative work within BigSkyEarth network.
